But then how will they bombard the average TV zombie with propaganda supporting
their chosen winner? Good story, bad concept because it'll never happen. There's
too much money to be made in politics, so the politicions would never let a
"effective" cap be placed on spending.

The reason that 527 groups, corporate lobbing groups and faith based lobbying
efforts did not torpedo or side track the election is becuase the money went
directly to the campaigns and not to shady outside groups.

If you cap campain
spending the money will still flow, but will go to outside groups, like the
swift boat groups, who will have more influence.

I agree that money from
corporations should not be allowed in campaigns, but it should not be allowed to
fund other advertising, or other groups like 527 groups either.

Elections are
people selecting their leaders. Corporations should stay out of it.

The way to
have sensible caps is to ban all corprate money, and cap the amount each person
can give in a year, in total to all campains and active groups. This prevents
some one giving 2,300 to a presendntail candidate, and 2,000 to the sennate
candiate, and 2,000 to the house candidate, and 2,000 ot the house candidate i...
